How PLR Rights Work: Read the License Before You Sell

Private-label rights are contractual permissions attached to a specific asset. The seller's license controls what you may do with that asset.

PLR is not one universal license

Two products marketed as PLR can grant materially different rights. Always rely on the license supplied with the specific purchase.

Permissions to check

Look for editing rights, branding rights, resale rights, bundling restrictions, marketplace restrictions, transfer rights and any minimum pricing rules.

Keep records

Store a copy of the license with the product files so you can later verify what was permitted when you obtained the asset.

When in doubt

If the license is ambiguous, ask the seller for clarification before using the asset in a way the terms do not clearly permit.
